Our Story
At Wildfire Wood & Steel we are dedicated to our craft and strive to create or re-create furniture and decor with a fondness for yesteryear. We strive to use materials and components that otherwise would just go to waste or end up in a landfill.
Our products are often rustic with natural defects including knots, cracks, dents, gouges, scratches and sometimes even rust. We try
to produce functional furniture and decor that compliment most people's home or office.
Having worked in design, construction, carpentry, finishing, furniture making and auto body applications, our pieces are varied, creative , traditional, sometimes unusual but always interesting.
The South Cariboo area is home to Wildfire Wood & Steel. Located in the southern part of British Columbia's Central Interior region, it's not exactly the wild west but ranching, prospecting and homesteading are the foundation for this region's early years of development. History can be uncovered in all all areas. Dilapidated barns, log cabins, sawmills and snake fences still adorn the countryside. Many heritage buildings have been restored either for private residences on ranches or for public heritage sites. This historic past with the South Cariboo's hidden treasures make for the perfect backdrop to showcase all Wildfire Wood & Steel's creations.
